A LONG HISTORY IN BRAINERD, MN

Schroeder’s Home Services has a proud, decades-long history of serving the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning needs of the Brainerd area. Our familiar name comes from our sister company, Schroeder’s Appliance Center, which was established in 1960.

Our home services division emerged from the union of two prominent area companies: Phil’s Heating and Air Conditioning and Sportsman’s Plumbing Heating and Air. With Phil’s illustrious history dating back to 1986 and Sportsman’s dating back to 2010, Schroeder’s brings nearly 50 years of combined area experience.

• 1960 — Schroeder’s Appliance Center founded
• 1986 — Phil’s Heating and Air Conditioning established
• 2010 — Sportsman’s Plumbing Heating and Air established
• 2024 — Schroeder’s Home Services formed under new local ownership
• 2026 — The SmokeStack BBQ Supply Store joins the Schroeder’s family

In 2024, our new local leadership team took the helm with a clear vision: build a unified brand that gives Brainerd Lakes one trusted team for every home service need — plumbing, HVAC, water quality, and more.

Now, under owner Mike Kuck, the entire Schroeder’s team is here to serve the homes, cabins, and businesses of Central Minnesota’s beloved lakes area. We’re proud to continue the tradition started by our founding companies, blending decades of expertise with a commitment to reliability and excellence.
